SCRAMBLE MATCH

by Bernie Jones 6 March 2024

The Scramble Match date has been moved to 10th March. Draw 0845 Hrs at the pub. Hopefully the river will be at a good level at long last! Please remember that Cressage Bridge is closed, so to get to the bank on Taylor's side will mean taking the diversion.

FINAL SUMMER LEAGUE MATCH - 26TH NOVEMBER 2023

by Bernie Jones 23 November 2023

After checking the river levels and looking at as many forecasts as possible, we have decided to fish the final Summer League match this Sunday 26th November. Draw will be at the pub at 0845 Hrs. Cressage Meadow will almost certainly NOT be drivable, so we will do our best to put as many safe pegs to fish in the draw bag. Just to make it a little more challenging there is a frost forecast over Saturday night. Summer League? More like winter now. But it will be the same for everyone.

10TH SUMMER LEAGUE MATCH POSTPONED - AGAIN!

by Bernie Jones 9 November 2023

The river level has stopped falling and it is 8 feet up this morning. It is starting to rise upstream at Montford Bridge and this is a result of the rain that has fallen over the past 48 hours. More rain is forecast between today and Sunday. The decision to further postpone the 10th Summer League match has reluctantly had to be taken. The earliest we will be able to fish this match now will be 26th November. But watch this website for further updates. Please let anyone you know who doesn't have access to the Internet.

FIRST WINTER LEAGUE MATCH

by Bernie Jones 3 November 2023

It's the first Winter League match at Apley Pool on Sunday (5 November). Draw 0845 Hrs. If you want a breakfast you can get one at the cafe just up the A442 only 2 miles away. Please park at 45 degrees in the lay-by so everyone can get in.

FINAL SUMMER LEAGUE MATCH FURTHER POSTPONED

by Bernie Jones 25 October 2023

The river is only now just about back in its banks. That's the good news, but the lakes that have formed whilst it has been over the banks are still there. There is more rain forecast before Sunday, so there is no way we can safely fish the last Summer League match on Sunday. Cressage Meadow would not be possible to drive over and the banks would be treacherous. As the following Sunday is the first round of the Winter League, the next opportunity to get this last Summer League match fished will be on 12 November. Please watch here for further updates.
