A good turn-out of 18 anglers contested this match, which was fished on a mild, but eventually very wet day. The river looked good, with about a foot on and with a good colour, but some of us struggled to find any fish. The winner was Ken Arnold with an impressive 5 barbel and one chub haul for 31 Lbs 4 Ozs from peg F2 on the Buildwas water. Second was our Chairman, Carl Pavey with two good barbel for 14 Lbs from 102, third was Brian "Golden Arm" Tinman with 9 Lbs 8 Ozs from fancied peg 18 and fourth was Craig Cope with a nice brace of chub taken on bread flake for 7 Lbs from peg H. Ten of the 18 angler field caught, leaving 8 of us (including me!) with a dry net. Some good craic was had round the bar in the Cressage Club afterwards and Anne's buffet went down well with a pint or two. The end of the 2014-15 match season could have ended a lot worse!
