Because the weather has intervened, the first match of the season has had to be cancelled. Rising river levels after the deluge of the past few days has put the river over its banks in several places and the level is not predicted to peak until the early hours of Saturday 15th June morning.
ALL ANGLERS ARE STRONGLY ADVISED NOT TO FISH THE RIVER UNTIL THE LEVELS HAVE SIGNIFICANTLY FALLEN. THE BANKS WILL BE TREACHEROUS AS THE THIN FILM OF MUD THAT WILL BE DEPOSITED ON THEM WILL BE VERY, VERY SLIPPERY.
