The next round of the Winter League series, scheduled for Wigmore Pools on 1 March has had to be postponed. The Match Pool is under water! This, plus storm Jorge, makes it impossible to run this match.

Storm Dennis did not deter 6 hardy members from turning out to the AGM on 15th February 2020. The minutes of the meeting can be seen by clicking on the link.

In an attempt to increase attendance at the AGM, it has been suggested that it is moved to a June date, perhaps after the first Summer League match. This will be considered for June 2021.

As Storm DENNIS (not Carr!) is forecast to bring 55-60 mph winds, it has been decided to postpone this Sunday's Winter League match scheduled to be fished at Melverley Pools. Please watch the website for the re-scheduled date.

The Annual General Meeting will be held on 15th February 2020 at 7:30pm at Leighton Village Hall. If you can make it, you will be made very welcome. The agenda is quite short and the meeting usually only takes about an hour. Hope to see you there.

The new year saw our winter league series move to Heron Brook Pools on 5th January. However, just 8 of the 14 of us that turned out caught. The rest of us did not even have a bite between us! But Dave Leary showed us all the way home with a net of exactly 18 Lbs, followed by Clive Biddulph with 10 Lbs 10 Ozs and third spot went to Dennis Carr with one fish caught early on for 8 Lbs (well done Dennis - in the money at last!) This means that Clive now needs a bad result, or I might have to break his rods!

The next round will be at Spring Lea's Mallard Pool, and will be the half way point in the series. Let's hope that there will be no blanks this time! See the full result by clicking the link.
