The Chairman and I would like to sincerely thank those members who DID turn out to the work parties to ready the banks in time for the opening of the 2015/16 season. Also, sterling work was done beforehand by Keith Bowers with the Society's tractor, which greatly helped to reduce the manual effort involved. 

Some clubs mandate work parties to maintain your membership. At LAS we have never done this, but if a few more members don't turn out in future, we may have to consider introducing this measure.
