WARNING! PEGS 71 TO 105 UNFISHABLE!

by Bernie Jones 9 December 2021

I have been informed today (9th December) by Peter Taylor, the farmer who owns the land, that it is not possible to get a vehicle down to the car park because the ground is now saturated. If you intend to fish pegs 71 to 105 please park on the grass to the right of the farmyard entrance gate and walk to your peg. Peter very nearly got his tractor stuck there this morning, so there's no way even a 4x4 would make it.

SUMMER LEAGUE MATCHES 6 & 7 RESULTS

by Bernie Jones 25 September 2021

Now that our Match Secretary has managed to find time from running his very busy transport business, he has produced the results for the last two summer league matches. The winner of the last one, the Big One (with double pools money) was won by Colin Morris from peg 97, with a catch of mostly barbel with odd chub on the feeder for 28 bs 8 Ozs, second was Mick Woolvine from peg 108 with 27 Lbs 12 Ozs, third from peg 106 with a level 23 Lbs was Paul Harrison and fourth from peg 118 was Steve Oliver with 20 Lbs 8 Ozs. But still out in front with 51 points is Tony Kilmister, followed by Mick Woolvine on 30 and Colin Morris on 28. With 30 more points up for grabs for more 3 wins, will anyone catch Tony? Look out for the results here and on our Facebook page. For the full result, please click on the link.

CORACLE DRIFT

by Bernie Jones 25 August 2021

I have just been informed by members Chris and Shirley Cottrill that on Saturday 18th September 0930 to 1430 Hrs there is a planned "Coracle Drift" event that will see these craft floating down the river from Cressage to Ironbridge. I know no more, but members are warned that this is bound to disrupt fishing.
